Azalea hosts afternoon of jazz

JAZZ lovers will be pleased to know that the popular ‘Platform Jazz’ musicians will soon be returning to the South Coast to offer their many fans a laid-back afternoon performance.

The zany group will be back on stage at Azalea Hall on Sunday, September 22. at 2.30pm for 3pm. Bar facilities will be available and seating will be theatre style.

Platform Jazz always offers something a little different each time the group performs, making small changes to its line-up and complementing its tried and trusted repertoire with a good scattering of new songs. Appearing alongside band leader Cathy Peacock and her stable of regulars this time round will be the much-applauded South African pianist Melvin Peters and sexy saxophonist Jonathan Judge. Durban singer Shelly McLean will contribute the velvet voice.
