Breakfast will be a floral affair

TO raise money for The Sunflower Fund, Shelly Centre will be hosting a women’s breakfast  at the Ster-Kinekor theatres on Saturday, August 9, at 7am. At the price of R150 each, organisers are hoping to sell all 170 tickets.

The ticket price includes a fabulous goodie bag, a light breakfast, exciting lucky draw prizes, a raffle, as well as two wonderful guest speakers. Karen Clarke will be entertaining the women on ‘flower personalities’ and cancer survivor Jamie-Lee Caple will take the audience through her leukaemia journey. Since the dress code for the morning is floral, there will be a prize for the best dressed.

Booking for the breakfast is essential, so call Allison Naidoo at 031 2661148 or email allison@sunflowerfund.org.za. Allison can also be contacted should anyone wish to sponsor items towards either the women’s goodie bags or prizes.

This event aims to raise money for The Sunflower Fund, whose sole purpose is to cover costs for tissue-typing of potential bone marrow stem cell donors. All donors are included on the South African Bone Marrow Registry and the more donors on the registry, the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding a lifesaving donor match.
