Dancers defend Santa and friends

IMAGINE a world without Father Christmas, the Easter Bunny, Jack Frost or even the Sandman.

The Ruth Jakeman Dance Studio goes on a crusade to save these and other magical characters when it stages ‘Jack Frost’, its sparkling end of year show.

A pantomine and a feast of dance rolled into one, ‘Jack Frost’ will be staged at Port Shepstone Civic Centre on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, at 7pm. Ruth’s students will tell their lovely story using all forms of dance, ranging from ballet and modern dancing to tap and even worship dance.

Chevelle Moodley plays the title role of Jack Frost with Chantelle Coetzee playing the fairy tale characters’ nemesis, Pitch the scary bogeyman. The costumes are gorgeous, the story is fun and the dancers are looking forward to entertaining you with their delightful show.

Tickets are R60 and are available from Salon She at the Oribi Plaza, Ramsgate Stationers at Southcoast Mall and at the door.
