Expect world-class music at Riverbend concert

THREE exceptionally talented KZN Philharmonic Orchestra musicians will delight their audience at the next Classics at Riverbend concert at Riverbend Conference Centre on Friday, September 12.

Principal cellist Boris Kerimov will perform piano trios with his wife Elena, who is the orchestra’s co-principal violin, and with Liezl-Maret Jacobs, who is one of South Africa’s leading accompanists.

Please note this concert will start a little earlier than usual, at 6.30pm. The usual free wine tasting will precede the concert at 5.45pm. Expect world-class music from this trio. During the first half of the concert, they will perform music by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Piazolla.

After interval, a lighter selection of music will include Russian gypsy-style pieces. Tickets are R85 and are available from the Riverbend shop. A pre-paid dinner at Flavours, at R130 per person, after the concert, may be booked at the same time.
