Folk singer Rowan Stuart to perform in Ramsgate

Rowan Stuart, who created an inimitable brand of folk-meets-pop music, is headed to Ramsgate for a performance at the Rocky Ridge music venue on Sunday, May 13 at noon.

The singer and songwriter will be launching his fifth studio album, ‘Faraway Deluxe’, which is already receiving rave reviews and radio play across the country. Songs such as ‘The Kingdom of Leaves’, ‘Prayer to the High Wind’, ‘Silver Balloon’ and many more will be performed.

His sound was motivated by a search for something deeper and more soulful within the landscape of modern pop music. Inspired by the rich storytelling of Gordon Sumner, best known as Sting, the soundtracks to his favourite classic video games and movies, the Durban-based artist learned that music was his best tool for sharing the inner worlds of his imagination with other people.

Rowan has previously collaborated with artists such as Tresor, Just Jinjer and Nibs van der Spuy and has opened for many of South Africa’s top pop music acts. Entry fee is R60 per person.
