Good vibes continue in Umzumbe

AN interesting and versatile cover band from Durban, ‘Calamity Jam’, will be at The Rock Music Bistro in Umzumbe on Saturday night, February 7.

Originally formed in the late 90s to enter the East Coast Radio Battle of the Bands, Calamity Jam members were thrilled to win the competition and to be given a chance to record a 12-track CD. After a few guest spots here and there, the band was eventually shelved.

However, band members went on to form another popular cover band called DV8 playing at numerous venues and festivals. Now a few of them have reformed and have been joined by Raul Diaz on drums and Nick Saayman on electric guitar to become the new Calamity Jam.

The band takes popular cover songs from the oldies to the modern era and offers a classy, rocking and interactive performance.
