Great vibes at folk festival

THE organisers have lined up some great talent for the fifth annual Folk and Acoustic Music Festival at the Sanctuary of Love in Melville on Youth Day, June 16, from 10am to 5pm.

Guests will enjoy music by the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters, David and Maqhinga, violinist and former Landscape Prayers member Anton Cawthorn-Blazeby, ukelele player Axel Batsch and contemporary folk singer Shomon. A new talent who successfully auditioned for the festival is singer and songwriter Jade Green.

Entrance to the festival will be by donation. As well as the music there will be plenty to do, eat and drink. Stalls and displays by local crafters will offer everything from surfboards, fine art, musical instruments and jewellery to homemade preserves and cakes. Bring umbrellas and blankets – and the whole family. To book a stall contact Kerry-Lee at 083 2717439.
