Head to Scottburgh for the classic car show

THE Scottburgh Classic Car  Show, a major motoring event, takes place at the Scottburgh Country Club on July 20.

The two primary beneficiaries will be the Society of St Vincent de Paul, which provides relief to the poor and needy, and the Pennington People’s Community Centre, an upliftment centre that teaches skills to the unemployed.

The two secondary beneficiaries are The Alexandra Homes for the Aged in Scottburgh and the Scottburgh High School.

The Scottburgh Classic Car Club spokesman Peter Fielding said that the club was delighted to be able to put the proceeds from the show back into its local community to benefit a wide variety of organisations in need. He thanked the Rising Sun, a Caxton Associated Newspaper, for its continued support and for its sponsorship of the show for the fourth consecutive year.

The Blue Marlin Hotel, which is the recommended hotel for the show, has come up with a special accommodation offer for car enthusiasts who come from far afield to take part in the show.
