Hunt for eggs this Easter
ALL children are invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt in Southport this Sunday, April 20 from 9am to 4pm.
The egg hunt fund-raiser will be in aid of Monkey Helpline, a non-profit organisation that relies heavily on the support of the community to rescue and rehabilitate monkeys, and educate the public on these little mammals.
“The reason I am doing this, is that I feel that our children need to know more on how to deal with monkeys, say for instance, when they come in to our homes,” said organiser Amanda de Villiers. “The other part of it is to inform children of the importance of the species.”
The egg hunt will be held in two age groups, three to seven, and eight to 13. Entertainment will include a jumping castle, face painting, professional photographs, a colouring in competition, an egg painting competition, games, demonstrations, and of course, a talk on monkeys.
It will be a fun and exciting day, with food and refreshments on sale. Entry fee is R10. Contact Amanda at 082 6992475 for more info.
