Jehovah’s Witnesses to meet in Durban

LOCAL Jehovah’s Witnesses can look forward to the regional convention to be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban from October 3 to 5. An expected 25 000 delegates from KZN, including the south and north coast, as well as inland and extending to Pietermaritzburg are expected to attend. Admission is free and no collections are taken. The convention programme is of benefit to everyone and people of all race groups are welcome to attend.

Present world conditions, economic hardships, family breakdowns, depression and daily anxiety’s of life are challenges that the entire human race faces today. Jehovah’s Witnesses on the Lower South Coast have begun inviting all by means of a colourful invitation, whose cover draws attention to ‘A world government’. This is summed up by three questions: Why do we need one? Is it possible? Who is qualified to rule? The answer to these intriguing questions will be given over the three days by an interest-packed programme of Bible instruction delivered in English, isiZulu and sign language.

A highlight will be two theatrical productions which will bring a Bible story and a modern day drama to life. The first of the dramas will be on Friday at 3 pm and the second on Sunday at 2.00 pm. The programme will start at 9am on all three days and the baptism talk will be followed by water immersion of new delegates on the Saturday at 11.25am.
