Kids’ carnival comes to town

SHELLY Beach Full Gospel Church will be hosting a children’s carnival at the church grounds in Burns Road, Shelly Beach, on November 30. This is in aid of raising funds for a number of ministries and includes, but is not limited to, clothing and Christmas presents for the underprivileged local children and families, the feeding scheme (running from the church), the crèche at Masinenge and clothing supplies for Lesotho.

At this stage, the church is looking for pledges for advertising space on the day of the children’s carnival or for sponsorship of prizes for various races and competitions. It promises to be a big fun day for children and their families, with free entertainment, competitions and displays during the carnival.

There will be some amazing prizes on offer and games and races. Some of the games and races that will be available are sack races, three-legged races, fishing, putt-putt hole-in-one, chipping through the hole, identify in slime, egg and spoon, just to mention a few. There are also a few flea market/crafter tables, but these are limited, so contact Sue Hulley at 083 7237989 or email sue@sewood.co.za urgently.
