Light a lamp in memory of a loved one

Young Veronica Abasyal of Port Shepstone Junior Primary makes a beautiful Mary, as children around the world prepare to act out the nativity story, an integral part of their Christmas celebrations.

JOIN South Coast Hospice for a joyful family Christmas celebration, a traditional carols evening and a ceremony to mark the lighting of the lamps on the Tree of Light.

This takes place at the Southcoast Mall on Saturday, December 6 at 6.30pm. The tree will be lit at 8pm, after which it will beam out its message of love and remembrance for the rest of the festive season.

A major South Coast Hospice fund-raising campaign, the Tree of Light also gives grieving families a meaningful way to celebrate the lives of the loved ones they have lost.

For a small donation (R30 is recommended) anyone can light a symbolic lamp on the tree in memory of a special person. Some people light symbolic lamps in honour of a faithful pet that has recently died. You can also light a lamp for South Coast Hospice, in appreciation for all this wonderful organisation has achieved.
