Lions, beetles and a whole lot of fun!

IF you have ever been to a beetle drive you will know it is great fun.

If you haven’t, come along to the next Ramsgate Lions Club bring and braai and find out what it is all about.

The bring and braai will take place at the Ramsgate Lions’ Village Hall (formerly the bowling club) on Friday, October 4. Braai fires will be lit by 6pm and a cash bar, with club prices, will be available. An entry fee of R20 will be charged to cover the cost of salads and rolls – just bring your meat.

The beetle drive will be part of the evening entertainment. For the uninitiated it is a game whereby the competitor ‘builds’ his beetle through the roll of the dice.

The person with the highest score after six games will win the grand prize. There will also be a second and third prize. Everyone is welcome to join in the good old-fashioned family fun.
