Mbango offers feast of favourite music

MBANGO’S much-loved choir, the fabulous Melody Makers, is set to offer music lovers some sparkling Disney magic.

The talented singers will present their next delightful offering, ‘Showtime with Disney’, at Mbango Hall on Thursday, September 19, at 2.30pm and Friday, September 20, at 6.30pm.

Tickets for both shows are R30 per person. For the Thursday matinee, they will be available at the door but booking, through Mbango, is essential for the Friday evening performance.

Tea and coffee will be on sale during the Thursday matinee interval. The Friday evening show will have a barnyard theatre format, with members of the audience, who will be seated at tables, bringing along their picnic suppers. Bar facilities will be available from 5.30pm.

The choir will present a programme of favourite songs from much-loved Disney movies through the ages. Their choice of songs goes all the way back to the older classics like ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘Snow White’, ‘Lady and the Tramp’ and ‘Cinderella’. There will also be plenty of beautiful, humorous and lively songs from newer movies. These include ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘The Jungle book’ and ‘The Lion King’.
