Metal band Hate Speech to rock Ramsgate

Local supporters of metal band, Hate Speech and all live music lovers, will be pleased to hear that the group will play at Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate on Tuesday, March 20, ahead of the Human Rights Day public holiday on Wednesday.

The band, comprising vocalist Russell Stroud, drummer Rudi van Wyk, guitarist Brady Jordan and bassist Graeme Messina, is ranked number one on the ReverbNation regional chart for KwaZulu-Natal and recently reached number six on the national chart.

Scoring performances in Pietermaritzburg and Durban ensure their continued exposure to KwaZulu-Natal crowds but the lack of a suitable local venue has proved problematic for the group until now.

“The venue in Ramsgate where we will be performing is establishing itself as a live music venue and, despite the ferocity and uncompromising musical style of Hate Speech, Rocky Ridge has extended a welcome invitation to us to perform for a local audience,” said Russell.

Punk band, Write Off and metal band, Codes, both from Durban, will be supporting Hate Speech on the day. Those who like their music loud, raucous, fast and furious need to book a seat by calling 072 4736095 or info@rockyridge.co.za.
