Museum to host polocrosse champs

IF you have never watched polocrosse, now is your chance to find out what this exciting spectator sport is all about.

The Rust Bucket Oribi Museum and the Paddock Polocrosse Club will host the Midlands Champs Polocrosse Tournament from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4. The action takes place all day Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone interested in watching the tournament is welcome to take a scenic drive to the museum, situated in the Oribi area, and to cheer on the home team.

Apart from the polocrosse there will be plenty to see and do at the museum. The owners are proud that the Rust Bucket is an official outride destination for bikers taking part in Africa Bike Week, from May 1 to 4. On Sunday, May 4, the Sports and Specials car enthusiasts and other proud owners of vintage or classical cars and bikes will take a drive out to the museum to show off their motoring treasures at a ‘park and show’ display.

Throughout the long weekend the Bucket Bites Kitchen will be open for business, providing guests with refreshments and tasty light meals. The Bucket Bites breakfast rolls are legendary – as is the Oribi area’s renowned hospitality.
