Open day at Mpenjati

The Mpenjati Honorary Officers’ Group will hold an open day at the Mpenjati Nature Reserve on Monday, December 16. Follow the signs from Mpenjati south entrance gate. There will be a birding walk through the reserve at 8am, a walk through the forest on the Ipithi trail at 11am and a walk through the grasslands to look at the flowers and orchids at 2pm. Donations of R10 per walk would be appreciated. The walks will be led by experts in their various fields who will also be on hand to answer questions. A scavenger hunt with a lucky draw for children aged13 years and under  will take place at 9am and 11am. Food and drink will be on sale. For more information, contact Anna Jordan at 071 422 0773.
