Prince of pop introduces new album

SOUTH Africa’s Prince of Afrikaans pop, Kurt Darren, will introduce his fans to his latest album, ‘Lied vir die Vrou’, at an intimate concert at the Wild Coast Sun’s Tropical Nites Theatre on Saturday, January 3.

“We are thrilled to confirm that Kurt will be bringing his tour to the Wild Coast in the new year. Fans can look forward to seeing him perform songs from his new album live on stage. It promises to be a memorable and energetic show,” says Logan Moodley of LM Promotions at the Wild Coast Sun.

‘Lied vir die Vrou’ is a festival of lyrics, melody and rhythm, in true Kurt Darren style. The album comprises 14 diverse songs that lend themselves to foot-stomping-hip-shaking-sokkie, two-step, jive, a slow dance or simply a relaxed bit of easy listening.

The words and melodies on this album blend effortlessly to capture anything from a loud and light-hearted party, to stories and pearls of wisdom about life, to more quiet and intimate moments in music.

Kurt takes to the stage at 8pm but fans should arrive earlier as seating is unreserved. Tickets are available at Computicket and at the Wild Coast Sun’s Cinema 2.
