Putt for a pet

THE biggest golf day is coming up next month, and this is a chance for animal lovers and golf fanatics to support a worthy cause. The Lower South Coast SPCA’s annual ‘Save a Pet’ golf day will be held at Southbroom Golf Club on Saturday, April 12. The event’s title sponsor for the day is Mac Banana.

The funds raised from this particular golf day will go towards turning an old building on the SPCA’s property into a new and bigger animal clinic.

An amount of R500 000 is currently needed to make the project a reality.

The much-needed funds will be raised either through a portion of the entrance or green fees, or by selling tees to companies that can show their products or banding on the tee-off areas. Title and secondary sponsors will also feature on all marketing material. Book your fourball with friends, family or even your customers for a great day of golf at the Southbroom Golf Club at 039 3166051.

It’s a great opportunity for your company to receive exposure to potential business partners and customers, help support a worthy cause and have a fun-filled day.

Companies are also asked to sponsor prizes. General donations towards the event are also very welcome. The more prizes up for grabs the more players.

If you cannot support the golf day, consider becoming a member of the SPCA, the cost of which is R100 per year, and in this way the organisation can build up funds for the project.

Those interested can come into the SPCA to complete a membership form or they can email admin@spcalowersouthcoast.co.za.
