Rev up for the South Coast Rally

THE South Coast Rally 2015 will take place in Margate from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1.

It’s taking place for the second time in South Africa and follows after a very successful inaugural event last year.

The event is open to all mature, responsible bikers, giving them the chance to relax, meet up with old friends, and make new ones, all in a secure environment.

The entry fee is R220 on the day at the gate.

Bikers will receive a goodie bag and a cloth badge, but metal badges and T-shirts will be on sale.

There is covered parking, live entertainment on the Friday night and Saturday afternoon and night.

Braai fires will be lit and braai packs will be on sale all weekend. Pap and gravy will be available.

A ‘Poker Run’ will be held along the coast on the Saturday morning with a prize of one week’s holiday accommodation, plus your entry gives you automatic entry into the lucky draws to stand a chance to win one of the big cash prizes.

There will be biker-related stalls, a swimming pool (or swim in the sea), or just hang out at one of the pubs, enjoy the music, and chat to your buddies.

There will be mobile bars and food stalls all around the premises to see to your needs.

When you are all partied out you just have to find your way to the lift; it’s called ‘laid-back’ rallying!

Please be warned: if doing wheelies, doughnuts, red-lining, fighting and creating general mayhem is your thing, then this rally will not suit you.
