Ride for Remembrance and help hospice

IF you have any type of motorcycle, you are invited to take part in the ‘Ride for Remembrance’, an annual fund-raising motorbike run for South Coast Hospice.

Participants should start converging on the taxi parking area at the Southcoast Mall on October 20 from 7am. The cost is R80 and includes a helium balloon, a badge and a breakfast. A service of remembrance takes place at 8.30am, after which the helium balloons will be released.

The ride starts at 9am. The route will still be determined by the president’s council and there will be marshals in charge. The mass ride will finish at the Pitstop Restaurant in Banana Beach where a meal will be served and lucky draw prizes handed out.

Even if you are not taking part you can join the crowds lining the Main South Coast Road to watch the mass ride. The motorcyclists will fly their club flags.
