Round Tablers to try out parkrun
REGULAR Uvongo parkrunners are looking forward to welcoming many visitors this week.
The 5km free, timed runs, between St Michael’s and Uvongo and back, as well as the hundreds of other parkruns held all over the world, all take place every Saturday morning at 8am.
The Uvongo organisers have declared this Saturday, May 24, Round Table parkrun day on the South Coast and have invited Round Tables from this area and from Durban and its surrounds, to take part. The participating Round Table clubs will have their banners flying at the start and, to add to the fun, will bring along the mascots they have been asked to make out of newspaper.
A big field is expected and lots of fun will be had. If you have never done a parkrun, register with parkrun.co.za, print out your unique bar code and join the visiting Round Tablers to give it a try. Anyone of any age or running or walking ability, is welcome.
