Singer gives victims a voice

MANY people talk about helping victims of violent and sexual crimes; Natalie Chapman sings about it.

A renowned singer and songwriter, she has embarked on a ’90 Days 2015′ tour to give a voice to violent and sexual crime survivors. The tour’s formidable programme comprises 180 gigs in 90 towns in just 90 days and one of the towns she will visit is Uvongo.

Her epic journey kicked off on Wednesday, January 28 and ends a frenetic 90 days after this date, on Monday, April 27. During this time Natalie expects to travel more than 15 000kms across South Africa.

She will reach Uvongo on Day 41 of the tour and will give a concert at Stephward Estate Country House in Meriel Road, Uvongo on Thursday, March 19, at 6.30pm for 7pm. Entrance is R150 and includes a two-course dinner. To book telephone 039 3155926.

This is Natalie’s second 90-day tour. Between January and April last year, she achieved what many thought to be an impossible task. She gave 90 performances in 90 different towns on 90 consecutive days, covering more than 13 500km and reaching thousands of individuals with her message of hope, motivation and music.

It was no surprise when she was awarded a LEADSA Hero Award for her efforts. As well as spreading her message to all corners of South Africa, this feisty singer plans to visit Botswana, Namibia and Lesotho.
