Stock up for Christmas at the Oribi Gorge Farmers’ Market

AFTER the huge success of the inaugural Oribi Gorge Farmers’ Market last year, the organisers are gearing up to ensure this year’s market will be even bigger and better.

It will once again take place at beautiful Fredheim Farm in the Oribi Gorge area, only 8km from Lake Eland Game Reserve, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, December 16, 17 and 18, from 9am to 3pm.

Organised as a good, old fashioned country fair, the market offers the perfect destination for a thoroughly entertaining family outing, with plenty of attractions for visitors of all ages.

There will be a wide range of craft stalls, all sorts of Christmas gifts and decorations, delicious home produce like jams and preserves, artisanal breads, flowers and fresh fruit and vegetables. Food stalls will provide all sorts of tasty treats, meals and refreshments and the organisers are drawing up a great entertainment programme. Children’s entertainment will include horse rides, jumping castles, a bike track and plenty more.

The entrance fee is R20 per adult and R10 per child of school-going age.
