Survivor will tell his amazing story

AN entrepreneur, philanthropist and highly recommended speaker, Brett Archibald will tell his miraculous survival story at the next Tuesday Rostrum lunch, at Mbango on November 12 at 12.15pm.

Brett was on a charter boat, on a surfing trip to Indonesia with a group of old friends, when he fell overboard in the Mentawai Straits in the Indian Ocean. Alone in the sea for 28 hours, he managed to keep himself afloat in spite of the stormy weather. During this time he was stung by jelly fish and a Portuguese man of war, nibbled by little fish, attacked by a sea gull and nudged by a shark.

Brett believes that people cope with trauma and tragedy in different ways. He feels privileged to be able to share his story with others to give them insight into what he went through and how it changed his perspective on life.

“I firmly believe we all need to find ways to add meaning to our lives and to the lives of those around us,” he said.
