Taste some international cuisine here
CHRIST the King Catholic Church is holding an international food festival at St Martin de Porres school on May 30.
There will be food on sale from various countries; lamb breyani from India, lasagne from Italy, Portuguese chicken from Portugal, potjiekos and traditional African food from South Africa and much more.
There will also be a tea garden and a refreshment stall selling tea, coffee and cool drinks and delicious cakes will be on sale.
Are you a master baker? Then whip up your favourite cake (these MUST be baked by the competitor) which will be judged on appearance, taste and texture. The finished product must be delivered to the venue by 10 am and must be donated to the church for sale in the tea garden.
Stalls are available at a cost of R200. Stallholders may sell anything besides food items. There will also be a health stand which will be manned by Port Shepstone Regional Hospital staff.
Entry to the event is free. There will be a fee of R10 per taste at the food stalls.
