Theatrical duo at Azalea Hall
THE next Azalea Hall offering will be a double delight, with contemporary adult duo Craig Urbani and Andy Swan there to entertain you.
Singers Craig and Andy are looking forward to meeting their South Coast fans when they perform together at Margate Retirement Village’s mini theatre, Azalea Hall, on September 6, at 6pm for 7pm. Tickets are R55 and are available at the village’s RAC and admin offices.
A well-known singer, actor and performer in South Africa, Craig kicked off his career playing the role of Buddy in the Buddy Holly Story, first in South Africa and then in London.
He spent many years overseas, performing in London’s West End, Australia, Denmark, Singapore, New Zealand, France and Spain. Since returning home in 2005 he has appeared on television in Isidingo, Vodacom Thumb Wars, Sharpshooter and Binnelanders. He also hosted the 2007 Miss South Africa pageant.
When he is not singing he serves as host, emcee and featured entertainer at various corporate events. He has also played various leading roles in theatrical productions, here and abroad. These include ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, ‘Buddy’, ‘Thoroughly Modern Milly’, ‘Kiss Me Kate’. ‘Chicago’, Grease’ and ‘Fame’.
Andy, the other half of this popular duo, has entertained at various corporate events, has appeared in theatrical productions and her lovely voice was featured in the soundtrack of the movie, ‘Spud’. Together, the singers have charmed many audiences at Montecasino, Emerald Casino and a number of other upmarket venues.
