Versatile shoot-out this weekend

THE Margate Shooting Range will host a versatile shooting competition this Saturday, May 30.

The range will open at 7am and the welcome, opening and programme starts at 8am.

The programme includes the SAHGCA Springbok (table 1 – 8.30am), clay pigeon shooting (table 2) and the SAHGCA Handgun (table 3) events, as well as junior airgun, bow shooting and shoot-out tables.

The cost to enter is R50 per event or R150 for all three events and includes the spit-braai. Non-shooters and spectators pay R30 per person for the spit braai.

First prize is a five-day holiday for four in Sodwana Bay worth R12 000, second prize is a blesbok hunt in Estcourt worth R5 000 and pellet guns worth R2 000 for juniors.

To avoid disappointment, book early because there are only 100 tickets available. There will be firearms available for those who don’t own any, but remember to bring money for ammunition.

Because of limited stock available, entrants are requested to bring supports or bipods, shooting carpets, eye and ear protection, chairs, tables, shading and cooler boxes.
