Village Tavern steps in to help

THE Village Tavern family want to make it a special festive season for abandoned animals and children who have been mistreated and need help.

Owner of the Village Tavern, Kevin Krummeck, will be holding a fund-raiser day this Sunday, December 7 from noon to 6pm.

“We invite you to join us and bring whatever you want for either an animal or child,” said Kevin.

Donate a tin of dog food, a blanket, a toy or whatever you have lying in the cupboard. “New or old, please bring what you can afford to donate,” he added.

The will be braais going, and free pap and sauce. So come join the ‘charity party’ and bring your own meat to braai.

If you don’t want to braai, order a meal at the Tavern and 10 percent of the Tavern’s turnover for the day will go to the charities.

“It’s free, just bring a small item to donate and let’s do this,” he said.
