Zippy sports cars Triumph

TRIUMPH sports cars from all over South Africa, ranging from the TR series through to the bigger sedans, will converge on the South Coast for five days, from Saturday, April 26 to Thursday, May 1.

Their owners will take part in a big get-together that the Triumph Sports Car Club of South Africa organises every second year. This time round it is the KwaZulu-Natal centre’s turn to host the gathering and as it is also the centre’s 40th anniversary this year, the celebration will be even more special. South Coast members of this centre are looking forward to welcoming about 160 Triumph owners from all over the country and even from overseas.

Most of the visitors will stay at TO Strand, Leisure Bay, where most of the celebrations will take place. Show day will be held in the parking ground near Blue Lagoon Restaurant at Ramsgate beach, from 8am to 2.30pm. All cars will be on show and will be looking their very best as they will come under close scrutiny during the judging.

The line-up will include models such as the Super 7, the TR2 through to the TR7, Stags and Saloons as well as the full Spitfire and Herald/Vitesse ranges. Visitors will be welcome to come and view the cars.

South Coast residents are asked to note that, because of the Triumph display, the Ramsgate beach car park will be closed from midnight on Sunday April 27 through to midnight on Monday, April 28. Parking will be available on the southern side of Ramsgate Beach. Various restaurants and shops in the area will be open.
