Pipe band keeps things lively

It was bagpipes and bellies at Anerley Haven last Sunday.

THERE was a lot of toe-tapping at Anerley Haven last Sunday afternoon.

Members of Margate Pipes and Drums arrived in fine style, donning their traditional ceremonial tartan kilts and played some well-known, lively Scottish melodies for residents and guests.

It was evident that the nostaligic sound of bagpipes definitely stirred some emotions.

Residents and guests were also delighted when belly dancers from Harem Secrets arrived in their colourful costumes to entertain.

“I want people to know that we like our residents to have some fun here at Anerley Haven,” said Beryl Lakin.

She also thanked the entertainers for donating their time to come and add some excitement to the day.
