
A MAN was killed and several others injured when two motor vehicles and a bus were involved in a collision on the N2 south near Scottburgh. According to ER24 spokesman Vanessa Jackson, one of the vehicles appeared to have spun and collided head-on into a fully laden passenger bus which was travelling in the same direction.
“The driver of the vehicle, believed to be in his late 20s was declared dead at the scene. The fire department used the jaws of life to remove him from the wreckage,” she said. The other four occupants in the vehicle escaped with moderate injuries and were taken to hospital.The second motor vehicle involved came to rest about 100 metres from the scene and the three occupants were treated for minor and moderate injuries and taken to hospital. The 95 people passengers in the bus were not injured and continued on their journey.
