AN alleged rapist who had his lip bitten by his 13-year old victim was arrested by police after he went to a clinic for treatment.
“The victim, who is from Manzamhlophe near Ezinqoleni, went to fetch to water at about 7pm,” said police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“She came across a man, known to her and her family, who asked her to accompany him to a nearby house to buy chickens. She agreed and, while walking to the house, the man pulled the girl into the bush and raped her. While being raped, the victim bit the man on the lower lip.”
Once the girl had bitten him, he fled. She returned home and, when a relative noticed her sitting in a corner with blood on her mouth, the girl told her relative what had happened.
The teenager was taken to the nearby clinic were she was treated.
He appeared in the Ramsgate Court on Monday and the case was postponed.
