They stole several cellphones before fleeing in four vehicles.

The matter was referred to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit, and within 72 hours, police made four arrests in Malangeni, Umzinto on August 21.

The getaway vehicles were also found and seized.

They have appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court, and the search continues for their accomplices who are believed to be in possession of the stolen cellphones.

The public is reminded not to purchase stolen items.
