MARGATE police have arrested two of the three men who escaped. Bongani Dlamini (19) was arrested at the Moyeni Centre and Siyabonga Mzindle (24) was arrested near the Margate Country Club. Police are are still searching for Senzo Mpisane (23) who is believed to be from Nzimakwe, Port Edward. All three escapees appeared at the Ramsgate Court for house breaking and theft.

MARGATE is a hive of activity at the moment as police search for three awaiting trial prisoners who escaped a short while ago. The men, who appeared at the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court today, were on their way back to the Margate police station when they escaped by cutting through the roof of the police transport vehicle.
“The prisoners escaped near the Emoyeni Centre a few minutes ago,” confirmed police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka. At this stage its not known what charges the escapees were facing.
