Quilters sew up a storm

The public showed a lot of interest in the process of quilt-making.

HIBISCUS Quilters’ Guild held a Quilt-a-Thon at the Southcoast Mall from 8am to late afternoon last Saturday. Members brought out their sewing machines and began making pretty lap quilts, which will be given to the Anerley Frail Care upon completion.

The public showed a great deal of interest in the making of these quilts and were very generous in supporting this worthy project.

The guild also raffled a beautiful double bed quilt, the proceeds of which went to hospice. The raffle was won by Susan de Burgh, on holiday from Matatiele, who was delighted with her win. A great time was had by everyone.
