Man drowns while doing laundry
He is believed to have suffered from a medical condition.

A MAN drowned after falling into a river while washing his laundry near the Gqawinyanga clinic in Kwahlongwa, near Umzumbe last Friday.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Rescue (EMRS) interim media liaison officer, Robert McKenzie, said paramedic crews from the Turton base responded to the call.
When the paramedics arrived they found the man, later identified as Mzwandile Gumede (32), still submerged in the river. “According to bystanders he had been doing his laundry at the river,” said Mr McKenzie.
He was initially discovered by a school pupil who was crossing the river. The Port Shepstone SAPS Search and Rescue Unit recovered the man, who was declared dead at the scene.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said that it was believed that Gumede sufferered from a medical condition and that a post-mortem would be done to determine the cause of death.
