Philatelists stamp their authority
An array of photographs and stamps were on display.
MEMBERS of the Hibiscus Coast Philately Society, together with staffers at Ramsgate Stationers, celebrated National Stamp Day last Saturday.
The public got an opportunity to view a large range of stamps and photographs on display. They were also enlightened on the fascinating hobby of stamp collecting from the members of the local society who were more than happy to offer philately advice.
President of the Hibiscus Coast Philately Society, Noel Lavery, was on hand to offer estimate values on smaller collections and explained how to become members of a philately society.
National Stamp Day has been commemorated by the Philately Federation of South Africa since 1938.
