Car lovers enjoy breakfast with a view
There was a good turnout in spite of the threatening rain.
A WARM welcome, good service and an excellent breakfast rounded off an enjoyable car run last Sunday, but Sports and Specials regulars were not surprised.
Leopard Rock Restaurant, perched on the edge of the Umzimkulu Gorge, has long been a favourite breakfast run destination for the car enthusiasts. Of course, the wonderful view is one of the draw cards, too.

Inclement weather and dire warnings of heavy showers didn’t put the brakes on the group’s enthusiasm and there was a good turnout for the October car run. Even a couple of topless cars put in an appearance. Fortunately the rain held off and everyone enjoyed the scenic inland drive.
There was also an interesting newcomer to liven up the parade of sports and other cars that took part in the run. Brett Bellenger has acquired a DKW Junior and was pleased to introduce his latest acquisition to his fellow ‘petrol heads’.

Anyone with any sports car or interesting vehicle, old or new, is welcome to join the Sports and Specials car runs that are held every month. The group is informal and unconstituted and anyone can join. Contact Bill at 084 4110044 for details.
