THE South Coast was proud to showcase some local talent at the South African Talent Championships held in Johannesburg recently.
Kayla Francesconi (17) of Ramsgate walked away with gold and double gold for her dance solos.
She also brought home a number of medals for group and individual dance entries and was scouted by the American talent organisation (AMTC), with an opportunity to train and audition in America.
Kayla is passionate about dance. She dances locally with the studio In Motion Dance Academy, which features prominently on the South Coast dance scene.
Kayla is also a former gymnast who was placed sixth in the country at the 2007 South African National Gymnastics Championship.
