IZOTSHA Primary ’s gr 7 pupils attended an ‘end of primary school’ ball last Saturday night. The ball was organised by the parents and pupils looked exceptionally elegant and much older. The hall was beautifully decorated and after snacks and speeches, pupils danced the night away.
Cricket was against Southcity and the U11A team won by 136 runs. Izotsha batted first, making 153 in 20 overs, with no wickets lost. Chad Laycock retired at 57 with Chase Britz scoring 52 not out, and Ross Klusener 23 not out. Izotsha bowled Southcity out for 18, Anthony Dunford took five wickets for 11 runs and Chase Britz took three wickets for three runs. The man of the match was Anthony Dunford.
The U13B team won by 96 runs. Izotsha batted first, making 154 runs in 20 overs, losing only one wicket. Luke Powell retired at 67 and Luca Weber, 33 not out. Izotsha bowled Southcity all out for 58. Luke Powell took four wickets, Hano Scholtz three and Musa Madlala two, with Luke Powell awarded man of the match.
Grades 6 and 7 pupils begin their exams this week and grades 4 and 5 pupils start next week.
