A MAN has escaped from the Port Shepstone police cells after pretending to be somebody else. Detective Warrant Officer Leon le Roux of the Port Shepstone Organised Crime Unit appeals for help in locating Xolani Ndlovu who was arrested for armed robbery in Durban and attempted murder in Kwadukuza. Ndlovu has also been linked to armed robbery and attempted murder cases being investigated by the Port Shepstone Organised Crime unit.
“He was transferred from prison to the Port Shepstone police cells for investigation purposes but passed himself off as another prisoner who was due to be released from custody and fled,” said police spokesman, Captain Vincent Pandarum. The public is warned not to approach or attempt to arrest Ndlovu as he is considered dangerous. Anyone who sees Ndlovu or who knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Warrant Officer le Roux at 039 688 2300 or 071 4812 556 or call 10111 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
