MARGATE Primary’s annual prize-giving ceremony was held on Tuesday this week and pupils received prestigious awards. Dux of the year was awarded to Ezile Dumzela, Standiwe Nxumalo received sports girl of the year, sports boy of the year was awarded to Thando Mqhatu, and Cebolenkosi Nxumalo walked off with the Herald trophy.
It is with sadness that the school says farewell to two teaching staff members. Monique Klaver, is relocating to Cape Town, and Wickus Pretorius is moving to Southcity Christian College as sports coordinator, a position very close to his heart. Margate Primary looks forward to seeing him at sports events next year.
