Creston College learners shine in sport and leadership

Several athletics records have been broken.

It was an exciting week at Creston College as learners celebrated success both on the sports field and through leadership development.

The Senior Primary interhouse athletics delivered unforgettable moments, including U10 athlete Lulo Qwalela breaking the long-standing 150m record set in 1999 by former learner Ryan Rossler.

Several other records also fell during the day, highlighting the exceptional talent within the school. Congratulations to record-breakers Eli Quin, Sthelo Zulu, Sarah Sahli, Lulo Qwalela and Kunam Gidimisani, as well as the U12 Boys and U13 Girls Eagle Relay Teams.

Eagle House claimed overall victory, while learners were congratulated for their determination and sportsmanship on the day.

The Grade 11 learners enjoyed an inspiring leadership camp at Camp Jonathan. Through activities such as rafting, canoeing, obstacle courses and leadership workshops, learners developed teamwork, resilience and confidence.

The camp provided valuable opportunities for personal growth while creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
