IT IS with great sadness that Merlewood Primary mourns the loss of gr 8 pupil, Nontokoza Penelope Khowa (14), who was tragically killed in a car accident last week.
Nontokoza was a pleasant, respectful pupil, who always had a ready smile and was ever-willing to assist teachers and pupils in whichever way she could. She showed great leadership potential, was a prefect and a member of the ‘Enviro club’.
Further, Nontokoza was a keen netball player, loved dancing, represented the school at the recent Heritage Day celebrations at the civic centre and had the potential to achieve great success.
