THE ANNUAL Southcity Junior Primary prize-giving held last week at Southcity proved to be a great success. Jenny Smith welcomed guests, opened the proceedings and then the choir once again entertained with angelic voices.
Louise Marshall gave a heartwarming speech before honouring the pupils with their awards. Awards were presented for academic achievements, ‘Treasurer of the Word’ and Olympiads.
Special awards were handed out by Calvin Ledward and Quinton van Rensburg for outstanding sporting achievements and a special mention was made of the ‘Student of the Year’, which was awarded to a deserving Ella Drummond of gr 3.
