WARRANT Officer Sakhile Nelson Ngongoma (42) was arrested near Mathulini in the Hibberdene policing area for suspected drunken driving. The arrest was made by Hibiscus Coast Municipality traffic officer Devlyn Abbott.
W/O Ngongoma appeared in the Hibberdene Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week and was released on R500 bail. Blood samples were taken and forwarded to the forensic laboratory for analysis. The case was postponed until next year to await the blood test results.
Port Shepstone SAPS spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said W/O Ngongoma had been driving in a reckless manner.
