FOR the third year running, the Hibberdene Academy matrics have achieved 100 percent pass rate. After two years of writing the government NSC, 2013 was the first year the pupils wrote the IEB matric and, despite everyone saying that it is too difficult for the pupils, they proved them all wrong with their wonderful achievement. The result of 2013 is continuing the academy’s path to greatness. All 2013 matrics are wished success in their future careers and the academy looks forward to the time when it can hold its first 10 year matric reunion. It also takes great pride in announcing that Jeane Mbambo, a grade 11 pupil, achieved seven distinctions, enabling her to be the first pupil to be awarded the coveted ‘white’ blazer. Khethelo Mjadu of grade 4 also achieved distinctions for all her subjects. The academy looks forward to the time when she, too, will be able to wear the blazer signifying top academic achievement.
