AFTER enormous repair work and refurbishment, Jai Hind’s swimming pool is back to its former glory. An exciting gala is on the cards for later this term and normal use of the pool will begin next week, so proper swimming gear is a must for all swimmers.
Most eager to wade in new waters are the tiny gr R pupils who tumbled in this Monday. Excitement and tears formed the mortar for the foundation of a new era in their education – far from the familiar sand pile at home.
With the gr 1s now settled and all stationery and textbooks distributed last week, the school is now fully engaged with its formal timetable and teachers are poised to stand and deliver like never before.
With the inter-transfer process having been concluded at the close of 2013, the school bade farewell to Shivek Inder, Morgan Govender and Reshnee Nair, but welcomed Bongi Mpunzana, Sally Kavanagh and Pranesh Bhugwandeen.
