SOUTHCITY Christian College’s school year started off with much enthusiasm and excitement. The first few days were very busy for all pupils with interhouse activities like tug-of-war, touch rugby and ultimate frisbee. The whole college took part in the swimming, cricket and hockey trials and a new pupils’ quiz. Wrapping up the first week was the new pupils’ concert, closely contested, with Judah narrowly beating Asher and Levi, tying in second place. It was a wonderful way for all new pupils to be integrated into the Southcity family.
Recently the school hosted a fun pre-season first team 20/20 triangular with Sheppie High and Creston College. Unfortunately the day was cut short by rain, but the boys enjoyed the outing and are all looking forward to the season.
Last Thursday, Southcity played 20/20 cricket against Sheppie High, with Southcity’s 1st, U15 and U14 teams all winning their matches.
